ABS Partners Real Estate, LLC is pleased to announce that Clinton W. Blume, Jr. has recently received the 2006 Robert T. Lawrence Award from the Real Estate Board of New York. This prestigious honor is presented to the first runner-up at the Real Estate Board of New York’s annual Sales Brokers’ Most Ingenious Deal of the Year Award ceremony.

Mr. Blume was recognized for his outstanding commitment to finding innovative solutions for the former tenants of 122 East 58th Street, the G&B Building. When the building was sold, Mr. Blume was able to find a single new home for all of its fifteen not-for-profit tenants and subtenants, in the General Society Center, at 20 West 44th Street on Club Row. The lease closing lasted 12 hours and, at one point, involved five law firms and four architectural firms.

Competition for this year’s Sales Brokers’ Most Ingenious Deal of the Year Award was especially keen, and Mr. Blume’s recognition is particularly noteworthy in 2006, since he received the same award previously in 1983 for a series of ten chronologically impelled transactions, which led to one final executed lease.
