ABS Partners Real Estate, LLC is proud to announce that the Real Estate Board of New York has selected Randy Modell as the recipient of the 2006 Most Promising Commercial Broker of the Year Award.

According to Eileen Spinola, the Senior Vice President of the Real Estate Board of New York, the recipient is selected based on business originated, contribution to the firm’s success, integrity, peer leadership, and demonstration of charitable commitments. Paul Massey, the Chairman of the Commercial Board of Directors, the committee that selected the recipient, indicated that this year’s competition was extraordinarily close, because all of the candidates were truly exceptional.

However, Randy’s outstanding accomplishments singled him out for special recognition. In addition to helping originate and sell more than $200 million dollars in real estate, Randy has worked on a wide range of assignments – from exclusively representing the Municipal Credit Union for the lease of four bank branches to exclusively helping both Laila Rowe and the Grandaisy Bakery (formally the Sullivan Street Bakery) expand their retail presence throughout New York. He represented the Central Park Horse & Buggy Drivers in their acquisition of a horse stable on West 52nd Street, and he assisted Rosie O’Donnell in purchasing a building for her “Rosie’s Broadway Kids and For All Kids Foundation” – a feat with which even Donald Trump would be impressed!

Randy holds a Masters of Science in Real Estate Development from Columbia University’s School of Architecture Planning and Preservation. He is also a volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and has spent time in Israel volunteering for the Israeli Defense Force by working in a tire factory.
